Exposing the Project for the New American Century

I thought a little anti-government linkage would be good to end the day.

PNAC.info - Exposing the Project for the New American Century

Just got back from a Dandy Warhol's show. 3 hours straight they played. It was an experience. It will be written about tomorrow.

What A Week

I truly believe the best way to end your week is to hit your knee as hard as possible on your car's dashboard. This should all but guarantee that every time you sit down for mere moments, your leg will stiffen up, and you'll spend the weekend limping around like the horse that should be put down.

I am that horse.

I picked up Johnny Cash's newest CD released in the spring. I always meant to, and all the hype for the Hurt video reminded me, oh yeah, I should buy that. I get about 6 songs in and realize, Johnny Cash wants me to kill myself. If ever you actually felt good about your life, pop in the first half of this disc. Your happy thoughts should change. It's good stuff. Although, I don't know about his cover of Personal Jesus. It just seems odd.

I also picked up some cheap horror DVDs to pass the time this weekend. The Poltergeist trilogy for a total of 25 bucks, and the Last House On The Left. I had no idea that was 10 bucks. I was also tempted to pick up the four Fly movies. But, I stopped myself. I may not be stopping myself tomorrow if I get bored enough. Idle hands means I spend money. No wonder I have no savings account.

And speaking of, I can't find a single copy of Rue Morgue anywhere. I know it's out. I want it. Give it to me. I'm probably going to subscribe.

And this is what happens when I don't post for a week. The longest rambling in the entire damn world. Went to lunch with A. earlier today. Indian buffet. Such good stuff. Followed that up with some Dairy Queen because my stomach said, "Bitch. Get something in here to calm me down."

I Have No Title, And Walk Alone.

Still feeling mopey. Not in a depressed way. I just feel stagnant as the world continues to evolve around me. So many changes, for them, not me. And it upsets me.

I am the stagnation station. I'm hoping I'm not alone in this. Is it the time of year?

Just In Case

Just in case anyone is reading this right before bed. Construction worker survives drill through head.

Happy dreams people!

We've Come To The End Of The Road

The words weren’t meant to be read aloud. They are words meant for someone to look back upon. Smile at. Remember a time when. It wasn’t really a matter of “Does she know me?” or “Do I know her.” That point never really came up. Neither truly knew who the other person was. There was flirtation. There was rumor. There was something. Hardly noticeable. But it was there. And all too soon, or not soon enough, depending on the time of day, it was over. Something truly become nothing. It was over. New jobs. New cities. New lives. It was all a matter of never realized moments. It was all lost to history now.

And maybe one day, their paths will cross again. But they could never be sure.

Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

NC's going away party is tomorrow, of which you've heard endless complaints. I've talked the food quantity down a bit, convincing a coworker of mine that the general consensus is that she's only been here two years. People here longer than that don't get as big a party.

But, I've made her a comp CD. I thought I'd share it:

Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

1. Stomp - Beat Box
2. Radio Noise
3. Kings Of Leon - Red Morning Light
4. The Smiths - Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
5. Janis Joplin - Me And Bobby McGee
6. Jayhwaks - Save It For A Rainy Day
7. Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
8. Patsy Cline - Walkin' After Midnight
9. Hot Hot Heat - Talk To Me, Dance With Me
10. Zwan - Lyric
11. Love Spit Love - Am I Wrong (Angus Soundtrack Version)
12. Joseph Arthur - Honey And The Moon
13. Hot Club Of Cowtown - Sleep
14. Spin Doctors - Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
15. Junior Senior - Shake Me Baby
16. Ramones - Judy Is A Punk
17. Yo La Tengo - My Little Corner Of The World
18. Peter Gabriel w/ Kate Bush - Don't Give Up
19. New Pornographers - The Laws Have Changed
20. Liz Phair - H.W.C.
21. Claudine Longet - God Only Knows
22. Johnny Cash - Hurt
23. The Sounds - Seven Days A Week
24. Ron Sexsmith w/ Chris Martin - Gold In Them Hills

She's probably heard of two of these people. It should be hilarious.

Blurg This

In between feeling all shades of mopey and then sick, I haven't been prone to ramble endlessly. I feel I have failed you.

And I will continue to do so until I feel better.

There's just a general weight of the world on me right now, that has made me wonder, "What the fuck is the point? Seriously?" I feel alone. I feel like I don't belong.

The Flik Filosopher asks "Is it just me, or is everyone having trouble getting anything done lately?"

I can only answer...yes.

And she goes on to say, "I can barely get motivated to do anything, I can't focus when I do, and I just want to sleep. Be honest with me, doc: How long do I have?"

I can only preach...amen.
